At Houston Uptown Dentists, we offer two treatments to straighten your smile faster than conventional braces. Six Month Smiles works similarly to traditional braces, except it uses clear brackets and tooth-colored wires. Your hardware will be far less noticeable. As the name implies, the average treatment time is only six months!

Six Month Smiles uses clear hardware to straighten only the teeth that show when you smile, making your treatment much quicker. We also offer the HealthyStart™ system for kids, which can help them avoid full orthodontics altogether.
Each patient is different, and no two patients will require the exact same treatment. That’s why it’s difficult to put a price on orthodontic care without first doing an exam and creating a treatment plan. We invite you or your child in for an exam so we can work up a treatment plan and let you know the cost of straightening your teeth.
Your dental insurance and/or health insurance may cover some of the cost of orthodontics. If treatment is undertaken strictly for cosmetic reasons (making your teeth look better vs. correcting a misaligned bite), it likely won’t be covered. For orthodontics to be covered, you will need to have insurance before treatment begins. With most policies, a lifetime maximum will be in place. You can also use third-party financing from CareCredit to pay for orthodontics here.
