Meet Dr. Amanda Juarez, a Native Houstonian

Dr. Amanda K. Juarez earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M in 1996 and was awarded her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2001 from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Born and raised in Houston, Dr. Juarez later moved to Arizona, where she owned and operated a private, cosmetic-focused family dental practice. In 2009, she returned to Houston to be closer to her family. She joined Houston Uptown Dentists and shortly after purchased the practice. She enjoys serving patients who have been part of this practice for as long as 50 years!

Dr. Juarez has extensive experience and training in cosmetic and laser dentistry as well as general dentistry. She also uses the most cutting-edge dental technologies available and stays ahead of the curve through continuing education courses – all to improve your quality of care.

In 2014, for example, Dr. Juarez completed a 160-hour continuing education continuum through the Dawson Academy, where she learned about dental occlusion (bite), temporomandibular joints (TMJ), comprehensive esthetic restorative dentistry, and more.

On top of her formal training, Dr. Juarez is also regularly inspired to further improve her skills by those around her. Specifically, she began treating sleep apnea and offering myofunctional orthodontics because she wanted to help her own family members. She has completed over 200 hours of continuing education in these areas and helps many patients with these needs as well.

She is a longtime member of the following professional organizations:

  • American Dental Association
  • American Sleep and Breathing Academy
  • American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine
  • American Academy of Craniofacial Pain
  • International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals

She and her husband, Ruben, have three sons – Reagan and twins Jackson and Lincoln.
