The most rewarding part of being a dentist, for me, is seeing transformation. If it's just rebuilding a smile and bite, or if it's creating good function for someone who's been having a lot of uncomfortable years with their teeth, all those things, seeing the end result is really what gives me the biggest reward.
I also really enjoy treating sleep apnea. That is also a life changer for patients. It's those little things that give me a passion. That help me just want to continue, and be able to see and help more patients.
She is a longtime member of the following professional organizations:
- American Dental Association
- American Sleep and Breathing Academy
- American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine
- American Academy of Craniofacial Pain
- International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals
In 2009, she returned to Houston to be closer to her family. She joined Houston Uptown Dentists and shortly after, purchased the practice from the retiring dentist. She enjoys serving patients that have been part of this practice for as long as 50 years! She and her husband, Ruben, have three sons – Reagan and twins, Jackson and Lincoln.
